Educating Your Child in Truth and Freedom

Greetings To All Truth And Freedom Homeschool Academy Families,

We have successfully completed another school year. and summer has begun. You may submit your progress Reports between now and Friday, August 1, 2008. The Progress Report indicates the work completed by each child. Simply indicate the work that your child has completed, even if he/she has not completed all of the work. As a homeschooling parent, you can end your school year now, and then, begin again where you left off at the beginning of the next school year.

You may begin your school year when you want, as long as your child completes a total of 160 days of school work which is required by the state of Alabama. Please return your completed forms, to the following address by August 1, 2008.

These forms may be obtained from our website. Click on Forms, and then, click on Progress Reports. If you do not have access to the internet, please contact me, and I will be glad to forward the forms to you by mail. Feel free to make copies of these forms as necessary. Also, remember August 1, 2008 is the re-enrollment due date for the 2008-2009 school year. You will need to complete a Registration Form, which may also be obtained from our website by clicking on Forms, and then, click on Registration Forms. You do not need to complete another Public School Notification Of Church School Enrollment Form. The Public School Notification Of Church School Enrollment Form was completed at your original interview, and it remains on file with the Board of Education. Please complete your Registration Form and mail it to the address above, along with your re-enrollment fee of $80.00, made payable to Truth And Freedom Home School Academy by Friday, August 1, 2008. You will need to re-enroll your child and/or children with Truth And Freedom Home School Academy by August 1st of each school year, and a $10.00 late fee will be due if you re-enroll after Sunday, August 10th. If you fail to enroll by August 15th, withdrawal of your child and/or children from Truth And Freedom Home School Academy will result, and you will become subject to truancy laws if you fail to enroll your child and/or children elsewhere.

Truth and Freedom Home School Academy's Prom will be held at Smith Lake on May 17th, 2008 from 6:00-9:00PM.

$20 per person
$25 per couple
$5 per adult

Meeting Site: Creative Learning Connection (Madison)
Meeting Dates: (August-May) All Days listed are Tuesdays (20 classes total)


Times: 11:45AM until 12:30 PM

Description of Class: A fun, brief study of different animals or groups of animals. Meetings will
include specimen study/examinations, games, worksheets, and discussions
concerning the animal or group of animals of the day.

Costs:
$5 per class if paying on a per class basis.
$80 per year (20 classes)*
$50 August-December (1st Semester)*
$40 January-May (2nd Semester)*

* No refunds but students will be given all handouts and worksheets if requested in advance of the next meeting.

Instructor Information: Homeschooling grandfather (5 years); taught 8th grade Science 1 year(Decatur Heritage Christian Academy); retired Instructor @ Calhoun Community College
in Health & PE(25 years); BS,MA,EDS from U.A.B. with a teaching minor in Biology.

We will meet up in the gift shop at 2:15pm.

The guided tour will begin at 3:00p.m. and will last 45-minutes.
